ZED ELD, The Cummins-Powered ELD, Is Going Out Of Business

by Punjabi Trucking

ZED is the second ELD manufacturer to officially announce it’s pulling out of the ELD industry. The first was ONE 20 ELD.

ZED ELD, the Cummins-powered electronic logging device, will be eliminated, and users only have a few to find the next before the company pulls the plug.

In a note on its own site, ZED Connect is shutting down the ZED ELD merchandise. The company negotiated a”zero-cost” transfer agreement using Stoneridge EZ-ELD. Current ZED clients might have to go to the Stoneridge bargain as a way to move.
The business is just giving fleets a couple of days to determine what direction to go. Smaller companies will have a bit more time. Fleets have until Dec. 31 to select it. The others need to do it by mid-January as the transfer will need up to two weeks to finish. All of us have until Jan. 31, 2019, to opt into Stoneridge or another provider.
