Telematics partnerships with Daimler Truck Financial Services and Motive, rapid expansion of the DriveEasy Pro program, and coverage now available in nearly 40 states, underscore GEICO’s growing commitment to commercial trucking
LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 24, 2026—GEICO, backed by the financial strength of Berkshire Hathaway and celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, today announced its return to the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) for the second consecutive year. The company will showcase its expanded commercial trucking insurance products now available in nearly 40 states, new strategic partnerships with industry-leading technology platforms, and the rapid growth of its DriveEasy Pro telematics program – all designed to help professional drivers reduce their insurance costs.
Since making its inaugural MATS appearance in March 2025, GEICO has rapidly accelerated its commercial trucking expansion, growing its truck insurance product from coverage in nearly two-thirds of the country to nearly 40 states, forging partnerships with two industry leaders, and expanding its DriveEasy Pro telematics program to reward safe driving with meaningful premium savings.
“Now more than ever, professional drivers are looking for ways to reduce costs without sacrificing the quality of their coverage,” said Rishi Arora, GEICO’s Head of Commercial Product & Pricing. “As we celebrate our 90th anniversary, GEICO is bringing nine decades of insurance expertise, innovative telematics technology, and strong industry partnerships together to give truckers the tools and savings they deserve.”

Strategic Partnerships Powering Innovation
GEICO’s trucking insurance expansion has been fueled by partnerships with two industry leaders:
Daimler Truck Financial Services: In October 2025, Daimler Truck Financial Services USA LLC (DTFS) and GEICO launched Connected Insurance, a data-driven insurance program designed specifically for Freightliner and Western Star owner-operators and small fleets. The program enhances GEICO’s DriveEasy Pro platform by leveraging real-time Detroit Connect telematics data – without requiring additional onboard hardware – enabling more accurate underwriting, a streamlined claims experience, and premium savings of up to 10 percent.
Motive: In November 2025, GEICO announced a partnership with Motive, the AI-powered Integrated Operations Platform serving nearly 100,000 customers across the physical economy. As a preferred partner in GEICO’s DriveEasy Pro program, Motive enables policyholders who install its AI Dashcam and fleet management products to unlock premium savings of up to 10 percent.
Together, these partnerships allow GEICO to harness real-time telematics data to better assess risk, reward safe driving, and deliver meaningful savings – expanding the company’s commercial trucking footprint with the kind of data-driven innovation that professional drivers and fleet operators increasingly expect.
DriveEasy Pro: Rewarding Safe Driving with Real Savings
At the heart of GEICO’s commercial trucking strategy is DriveEasy Pro, the company’s telematics program that uses driving data to reward safe behavior behind the wheel. Since GEICO’s first appearance at MATS last year, the program has rapidly expanded, and safe truckers who voluntarily share their driving data are saving an average of $4,453 on their truck insurance annually – a significant reduction.
The savings come at a critical time for the trucking industry. According to the American Transportation Research Institute, trucking auto liability premiums have risen 36 percent per mile over the past eight years, and insurance cost and availability ranked as the third-greatest challenge facing the industry in 2025 – even as truck crash rates have declined over the past four years. By incentivizing safer driving and leveraging telematics data for more accurate underwriting, GEICO is making quality coverage more accessible and affordable for the professionals who keep America’s supply chain moving.
Industry-Leading Claims Expertise
GEICO has continued to invest in building a claims infrastructure specifically for the trucking industry, recruiting top industry talent, and developing specialized training programs for its commercial claims adjusters. With real-time data from its telematics partnerships, the company is helping truckers get back on the road faster.
GEICO provides coverage for a wide range of commercial trucks, including semi-trucks, box trucks, and dump trucks from manufacturers such as Freightliner, International, Kenworth, Mack, Peterbilt, Volvo, and Western Star.
Executive Presence at MATS 2026
GEICO will have senior executives and truck insurance specialists on hand throughout the show at the Kentucky Exposition Center, March 26-28, to meet with trucking professionals and industry leaders, answer questions about customized coverage options, and demonstrate how DriveEasy Pro and GEICO’s telematics partnerships are delivering real savings.
“The trucking industry has been underserved for too long when it comes to insurance options. We’re here to change that,” said Arora. “Between our telematics partnerships, our expanding geographic footprint, and average savings of more than $4,400 for safe drivers, the momentum speaks for itself. We are just getting started.”
